The Double Column Machining Center is a type of computer numerical control (CNC) Milling Machinery designed for precision machining of large and heavy duty work-pieces. It is characterized by its unique double column structure, where two vertical columns provide support and stability for the machine's components and the work-piece. This design allows the machine to handle exceptionally large and heavy work-pieces while maintaining high precision and accuracy.

There are two main types of CNC Lathe Machine in the industry which includes CNC Flat Bed Lathe and CNC Slant Bed Lathe.

The Slant-Bed CNC Lathes are widely used in various industries, including aerospace, automotive, medical, and precision manufacturing. This slant-bed design encourages chips generated during machining to move away from the work-piece more efficiently. It reduces the risk of chip buildup, chip entanglement with the work-piece, and potential tool damage. It also simplifies chip evacuation, enhancing overall machining efficiency. It also provides excellent tool access to different areas of the work-piece. The angle of the tool approach allows for efficient machining of features requiring inclined surfaces, tapers, and turned contours. The Slant-Bed CNC Lathe, often referred to as Slant-Bed Lathe or Slant-Bed Turning Center, is a type of computer numerically controlled (CNC) lathe machine used for precision machining of cylindrical work-pieces. It is characterized by its slanted bed structure, where the bed is inclined at an angle, typically around 30 to 45 degrees, relative to the horizontal plane. 

The Flat-Bed CNC Lathe and Slant-Bed CNC Lathe are two common types of CNC lathe machines used in precision machining and manufacturing. They are differ primarily in the design of their bed structures.
 
About Bed Design:  In Flat-Bed CNC Lathe, the bed is flat and horizontal. The work-piece is clamped parallel to the lathe's spindle axis, which means the work-piece is held horizontally.
In Slant-Bed CNC Lathe, the bed is slanted at an angle, typically around 30 to 45 degrees. This design allows for better chip evacuation and improved operator visibility.
 
About Workpiece Orientation:  In Flat-Bed CNC Lathe, The work-piece remains horizontal during machining, and the cutting tool moves along the horizontal axis (X-axis) and vertical axis (Z-axis). The tool is perpendicular to the bed. In Slant-Bed CNC Lathe, The workpiece is clamped at an angle to the lathe's spindle axis, allowing for machining at an angle.
